With a Masters in Social Studies Education from Rutgers University Abigail's practices are based in humans rights principles, diversity, equity, and inclusion practices, and culturally relevant teaching.

In the non-academic world as a public historian Abigail has experience with writing grant proposals, working with small archives, landscape architecture & design, oral histories, and completed her internship as a museum docent for the Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island National Park Service. She holds a certificate from the National Council of Public History and a Bachelors in History from Rutgers University.
